Who We Are

Established in 2013, FEAST's mission is to promote health and wellness in communities through the power of healthy foods and human connection.

Unhealthy diets, insufficient food policies, inequitable food and economic environments, stress and inadequate social supports are core contributors of major health crises in the United States, including obesity and its related diseases, with individuals experiencing poverty and Communities of Color disproportionately affected.

FEAST provides comprehensive programming in a caring, safe, and supportive environment so individuals and families who experience food insecurity have equitable access to nutritious food, education about food choices and ongoing support to improve personal, family and community health outcomes.

When participants experience connection within a communal environment and across cultures in FEAST’s integrated programs, they have the support needed to make changes in their lives. Our unique participatory model empowers participants to make measurable and sustainable changes to diet and lifestyle.

So far, FEAST has impacted the lives of 17,000+ individuals in Southern California, New York City, and Lincoln, Nebraska. FEAST is continuing to expand locally, regionally and nationally!

What We Do

FEAST’s Food Access Program, launched in March 2020, recovers high quality farm-fresh produce in partnership with Food Forward and Seeds of Hope to deliver to participants. To address food and nutrition insecurity, Wellness Program Participants receive 10-12 lb bags of fresh produce weekly.

Every Wednesday we packaged over 60+ groceries. Our volunteers are vital members to making our Food Access program run. Volunteers support with receiving, sorting, and packaging recovered food to our FEAST participants.

Volunteer tasks include:

- Packaging produce

- Lifting up to 50lbs of recovered food (if able)

- Set up and break down of space

- Sweeping, mopping, breaking down boxes

- Spraying tables

- Sorting through recovered produce

- Composting inedible food
